QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
The battery light just went on. What should I do?
First of all, do not panic! The battery light does not mean that there is any immediate danger. Pull over once it’s safe to do so, and assess the possible causes. Have you left your headlights or radio on for too long without running the engine? Is it cold out? Has it been a long time since you started your car? Do not worry, the battery might simply be drained. All you need to do is drive for a few kilometers and let the motor run to recharge it. However, if this is not the case, a fuse may have blown or there may be excessive corrosion on the battery terminals.
In these cases, we recommend that you visit your local OCTO Auto Service Plus as soon as possible. Otherwise, you may not be able to start your car when you need it most. So do not delay, contact your repair shop!
